#WirelessWednesday – What is the difference between RF switching and RF routing?
Topic: What is the difference between RF switching and RF routing?
Answer: With RF switching, one RF input (BTS) is connected to several remotes in a star topology, and can switch on and off individual remote radios. However, the capacity is always restricted to one single RF source. With RF Routing, Dali Wireless can connect many BTS to the RF Router network, and the capacity can be freely distribute amongst all connected remotes in a star, chain or hybrid topology. This is in fact a many-to-many relationships – M:N routing.
