Q. Does any other OEM such as Dali provide an open API for the digital interface? This seems very unique.
A. Dali Wireless is the only one as far as we know to have the ability to enable direct CPRI-based digital connections to the Baseband Unit with an open API. The Baseband Interface module has incorporated secure, special-purpose FPGA hardware supporting CPRI links. With this secure programming environment, Network Equipment Providers (NEP) can implement proprietary Management Interface Base (MIB) extensions to integrate the Dali radio units into the NEPs’ base station without disclosing their proprietary information.
