Dali Wireless Contributes Big Ideas to Small Cell Power Solutions at Wireless Infrastructure Show

May 14, 2014

Menlo Park, Calif. (May 14, 2014) – Dali Wireless, Inc., a global provider of the advanced all-digital RF Router®, enters this year’s Wireless Infrastructure Show 2014 to provide and demonstrate solutions for the next generation wireless backhaul deployment for optimum performance.

Peter Walters, COO of Dali Wireless, will be moderating a panel entitled ‘Technical and Business Challenges for Powering Small Cells,’ on Tuesday, May 20th at 10:15 a.m. EDT to evaluate the current and future methods employable for powering small cells, both efficiently and reliably. Peter will be helping the audience and panel reach a mutual understanding regarding the necessity for further power solution innovations for small cell architecture.

Dali Wireless has been on the forefront of the RF Router® technology, resulting in small sized indoor and outdoor radio remote units that have low power requirements. Dali’s portfolio of radio remote units are based on the patented linearization techniques, and the tight integration between Dali’s proprietary digital pre-distortion (DPD) algorithms and the high efficiency Doherty power amplifier. This results in high power efficiency and low power consumption which lowers operational overhead and carbon footprint.

Combined with its ability to be software defined, Dali delivers high capacity of a macro cell, the flexible coverage of Distributed Antenna System (DAS) and the small footprint of a pico cell. This inherent flexibility and scalability, together with minimal noise interference prevent many of the small cell challenges network operators experience today.

“As traffic volume continues to grow, macro base stations alone are not sufficient to meet the increasing demands. Small cells have been used recently to expand the capacity of wireless networks, but with their limitation in flexibility and scalability, and noise interference, it is not a sustainable solution for the future. With that in mind, Dali Wireless combines the best of both the macro and small cell world, to provide sufficient capacity in high-traffic areas,” says Peter Walters, Dali Wireless.

As a PCIA member, Dali Wireless will also be exhibiting at booth 127/226 from May 19-22, 2014 in Orlando, Florida. The Wireless Infrastructure Show (WIS), held annually by PCIA, showcases the best mobile network solutions the wireless industry has to offer. With 100+ exhibitors and more than 2,000 thought leaders and industry heads in attendance each year, WIS show cases network innovations, both enlightening for participants and perennially invaluable to the future of wireless technology.
