Dali Wireless throws hat in in-building innovation fight with high capacity distributed radio

June 23, 2015

Dali Wireless, which markets a distributed radio system based on an element it terms the RF Router, has released a “High Density System” version of its product – offering 10Gbps throughput across 300MHz bandwidth on a single fibre. Although at first sight similar in concept, Dali says it is different from Digital DAS products (such as Axell Wireless’ idDas ) because its RF Router takes RF signal and digitises and packetises it into IP, CPRI, or IP/CPRI-like packets. It then addresses and routes these radio packets to remote radio nodes, which...

Dali Wireless Unveils 10gbps In-Building Wireless Solution

June 23, 2015

Dali Wireless today unveiled a new high-density in-building mobile broadband solution that can route up to 300mHz of RF over a single fiber at the 10gbps rate. The solution, for which the company declined to provide pricing information, is slated for general availability starting in the fourth quarter. This infrastructure is designed to enable service providers like AT&T to deliver mobile broadband services in venues such as convention centers, hospitals, malls, and stadiums. Providing a solution of this nature that scales to 10gbps is noteworthy both because it meets growing mobile...

Intelligence DAS goal of Dali Wireless HDS platform

June 23, 2015

Distributed antenna systems have had a long history in the mobile network space, having been one of the first widely deployed “small cell” technologies used to densify network coverage and capacity in public venues. However, recent years has seen the rise of more specialized small cell technologies that have included more advanced software to further increase network efficiencies in dealing with such locations. That is not to say that DAS has lost out in the race for small cell deployments. A number of tower companies have seen growing use of DAS...

Dali Wireless claims its HDS goes beyond DAS to add wireless coverage, capacity

June 23, 2015

Dali Wireless rolled out its 10 Gbps High Density System (HDS), which is based on the company's existing RF Router technology that can be used to create radio signal distribution networks. Dali says the HDS can simultaneously and dynamically allocate wireless coverage and capacity on demand. The HDS is an improvement over Dali's older technology in that HDS offers a faster, 10 Gbps pipe over a single fiber. "The reason for 10 Gbps is AT&T (NYSE: T) is standardizing all of their network switches to operate at 10 Gbps," Dali cofounder...
